Every year for the last few years I've begun each year thinking maybe I'd post here more often than I did the year before. It turns out 2016 saw fewer posts from me than any year previous. Oh well, can't blame a guy for his good intentions.
Mom and I hope you have a lovely end-of-year holiday season, and a good year ahead. Make sure you batten down the hatches and grab yourself by your boots, though, because we're in for one wild ride ahead.
Peace and meows

I have no worries, personally, for which I'm unimaginably grateful. My deepest compassion for all the other beings, animal and otherwise, in this country, the world, and the planet.
More shall be revealed.

Mom's been working intensely on a stitched and beaded project for a couple weeks. And I'm a thread freak. You do the math. Sometimes I'll be good, on my best behavior, and I'll sit and watch her work as I am in the photo. I'll watch that thread wiggle and jump around and I'll be keeping my paws to myself...and then suddenly, I can't stand it any longer and I'll reach out and try to catch it. Right about then I'll hear NO! So I'll pull my paw back, momentarily chastised, until I do it again. At which point I get gently scooted off the table.
I've spent a lot of time this last couple weeks in self-imposed quiet time, on the rug behind where mom's working or up on my perch.

After a day or two of unprecedented April heat last week, we're back to recalcitrant spring, the kind that comes and goes sometimes right into summer. We'll see how things unfold in the coming weeks.
Hope you all have a great spring. Like mom said on her blog, "I'll see you when I see you."

Mom's birthday is this week. She's getting older, although a lot more slowly than I am. I passed her up in people-years a couple of cat-years ago. Guess I have to be the parent in the family now.
Happy late winter. After a decent amount of rain, and hopefully some still to come, we've had rather splendid spring weather on the North Coast lately. Whatever.
