Extended Family

We got to meet our Auntie Jan from Santa Cruz this week. I'm really proud of myself that I didn't miss any opportunities to be petted and loved. After initially hiding under the bed, I ventured into the office on Saturday evening where Mom and Jan were working on their computers...and then just about every time Auntie was at the house, I came around pretty quickly. Finicky as I've become, I know a good thing when I see it!

Kirby enjoyed 15 minutes of fame when Mom uploaded a short video of him last night to YouTube. You can watch it here.

Life's been good, no worries here. Mom and I have been getting closer again lately since I've been more available. I couldn't ask for anything more!

Ciao for now, catfans!

Yours,
Beeg

Almost August

Holy Cow, it's almost August. Oh well...whatever. Just another month in the life of a lazy housecat. Er, two lazy housecats.

But wait, Kirby's not lazy, he's much more industrious than I am. Always swatting something off the table or the desk or the counter, always knocking things over just to see what happens -- as well as mom and dad's reaction.

Me? I just stay out of the way and watch.

Weather's been bad again. Guess our summer came and went. Meanwhile, it's been overcast, cold, misty. Not that it really makes a difference to me. Not anymore.

Truth is, I'm kinda bored. If I were actively engaged these days, I'd write more often. Oh well. You'll just have to take me as I am!

One Year Old Today

In honor of Kirby's first birthday, today, I'm having myself a drink!

Happy Birthday, Kirbs! Life wouldn't be the same without you. I love you, bro!

Stack o' Cats

Sometimes Kirby uses me as his body pillow -- lays right on top of me like I'm a foam mattress or something. And sometimes it doesn't bother me, I rather like the attention he pays me.

I'm thinking more and more that I'm glad the folks got Kirby for me. Besides, I know with certainty that there's no longer any chance that...oh shoot, I can't even say it...alright, that Kirby wouldn't be part of the family anymore. There, I've said it. I love him! They couldn't take him away from me, now, if they tried! He's a keeper.

Well, Mom just informed me that she wants to leave for her studio, so I've got to wrap this up. Have a great weekend, a holiday weekend here in the States. I'll write again soon!
