Here's Lookin' Atcha

Not much to report, except that life's good.  Small is beautiful, as they say.  I never imagined that Mom and I could live in such a small space together and be so happy.  Especially after living in that huge house that was five or six times bigger than our digs now.  Well, we're both older and wiser, and we need less stuff in our lives.  As long as we have each other, that's all that counts.

Happy Hallowe'en, catfans.  Don't eat too much candy!

Who's That?

Who's that cat that looks just like me, on Mom's computer?  Oh, of course it's ME!  Big ego here, I like to read my own posts online.  I've gotta check up on Mom, make sure she gets the story right.

This wasn't I spent on my chaise longue mostly, while Mom worked from home on her computer.  When she's on the couch working on the computer, there's no room for me on her lap.  I tucked my ring tail between my back legs and skulked away to spend the afternoon and early evening by myself.  If you're interested in seeing what Mom was up to, click here to check it out.

I hope we get to spend more time together this weekend.  Looks like there'll be a lot of resting up for Mom...she hasn't been feeling up to par and will likely spend much of her time reading.  I saw that she came home today from the library with several new books.

So I suppose it'll be a bookish weekend for us.  Hope you all have a good one, too!

When I'm Old I Shall Wear Purple

Here's me yesterday, lounging on a pile of Mom's hand dyed fabric.  Purple is becoming on me, don't you think?

Later, people.

A Dull Roar

I've been speaking up lately, letting Mom know that I'm happy with our new arrangement.  I love having all my old things back -- our pea green couch, the ottoman I can stretch out on (as in the photos here), my zabuton (chaise longue, nee meditation pad), fabrics I remember from the past, Mom's cozy mummy bag that she leaves on the couch for me every time she goes into Eureka.  Absolutely nothing to complain about.

I've also got a bunch of new toys -- new feather toys (the kind I used to adore before Kirby ate all the feathers off the old ones), stretchy wand toys, new little catnip pillows that Mom made for me.  Mostly I just rest and look out the windows now, though.  Unless Mom engages me.

Life's good.  I'm happy.  I think Mom is, too!

Have a great weekend, cat fans.  Purrs & Meows from Beeg

Oh, Silly Me

We used to have a ritual when we lived in Eureka.  Every morning after breakfast, I'd nudge Mom on her leg and then go sit by the door so I could go outside.  Back in the old days when I had outside privileges.

Now that we're alone again, I've taken to sitting by the door to go out after breakfast.  As if Mom's really going to let me out now.  Not!  I probably wouldn't run away, but she just doesn't trust me anymore in these matters.  Guess I'll have to defer to her wisdom, I simply have no other option.

Oh well, not to worry.  As we speak, I'm laying on a big pillow on the couch next to Mom, scooched up against her while she's transcribing my narrative.  Life is good on this dreary Sunday morning.  Glad I don't have to go out in it!

Talk soon, catfans.  Purrs & meows!
