Cover Boy!

Here I am on Mom's blog today! How cool is that!

This is an old photo of me, but you can't really tell. I'm hoping she takes some new photos of me to quilt...actually, she's got a ton, she just needs to print them on fabric and quilt them. Hmmm, I'm seeing a BIG piece with lots of images of me. Whatdya think? Maybe even before she quilts a piece with Kirby on it, huh? That's probably not gonna happen.

Anyhow, it's raining here...so what else is new. Pouring at the moment, kitties and puppies.

Mom finally gave in to Kirby's and my pleas to lose the 2-bowl method of feeding us. He's been eating as much of my food as I've been eating of his, and both bowls have had food we both eat in addition to our separate stuff. So, it's back to the open, bottomless bowl of food for both of us. Wow, now I don't have to rush into the kitchen whenever the folks are in there and pace around my bowl vibing the lid to magically disappear. Now I can regain my dignity around being the grazer that I am. See? Some things DO go back to the way they used to be!

Have a good one, cat fans. Purrs & Meows from Beeg

A Family Affair

Dad took these photos on his phone, emailed them to Mom...she downloaded and then tweaked them in Photoshop, and voila! Art Cats!

We're enjoying early spring in our hemisphere...especially those scent laden breezes coming in through the windows. Kirby, sacked out on Mom's computer as we speak, has been an absolute Psycho Kitty lately. I try to stay out of his way, but he's unavoidable much of the time. I've been known to hide under the bed to steer clear of him.

Not a whole lot else is new. Oh yeah, Mom told me she's making another quilt with a photo of me on it. How cool is that! I 'spose Kirby's next...I can see a black & white quilt in Mom's future!

Bye for now! Purrs & meows from Beeg!

Birthday Boy

Da Da Da Da Da Da, Da Da . . . Da Da Da Da Da Da, Da Da . . . today it's my birthday! Seven cat years, 49 human years, making me firmly entrenched in middle age. Welcome to the Middle Ages, Mom always likes to say.

And it's very Spring outside today, although I'll only get to look at it, and catch a whiff of those breezes blowing by. Oh well. I have tons to be grateful for -- wonderful, loving parents, a cozy home, and nutty little brother, good food, fresh water, nice views, and no need to do anything other than enjoy life. I've got it made!

Ciao for now, catfans. Happy Birthday to Beeg, from Beeg!

"Shayna punim" is Yiddish for pretty face! I think I'm looking rakish, suave these days...a cat of the world, what I can see of the world from the west window of the house, anyway.

I'm trying to keep my spirits up, to help Mom out. I think we're so simpatico, that when one of us feels down, the other does, too. So we've both got to give this happiness thing our best shot, everyday. I've started sleeping on Mom again as much as possible, which definitely makes us both happy.

Mom told me the other day that I have a new birthday -- she's decided I'm a Pisces, and not a Taurus like she originally thought. That's because I'm moody and like to be alone a lot, just like she does...and she's a Pisces. So, my new birthday is March 15, instead of May 15. That's this month. Wow, I'll be 7 this year.

And the coolest thing is that in two years, when Mom is 63 human years, I'll be 9 cat years, which is equivalent to 63 human years -- so we'll be the same age equivalency at the same time. I wonder how often that happens! Anyway, it's just more evidence of Mom's and my being soulmates.

I guess that's another reason why she and Dad got me a male kitty companion instead of a female. Mom didn't want to be jealous! Was afraid she'd lose me to a female feline. Instead, I have this bonkers little guy that I have to put up with. I sure wish he'd grow up faster, he drives me nuts most of the time!

That's all the news for now, catfans. Ciao meow from Beeg!
