Old Cat, New Trick

Can you believe this?! The folks moved my gi-normous cat tree out of the livingroom and into the office, by a window (duh!), and now I'm using it. They pretty much convinced me that this was an entirely new piece of furniture! I'm liking this. Change is good.

The rest of the story is that Mom bought a smaller cat tree to put in the livingroom, because this one was way too big for the space, but, wonder of wonders, I wouldn't use that one, either. Actually, it was too small for my good-sized build. The only one of these cat tree-things big enough for me is the one I already have. Anyhow, Mom returned the second one, and I overheard her saying she'd probably just get a scratching post for me for the livingroom so I don't destroy the human furniture. Just as well...one cat tree is enough, thank you very much. Especially now that I'm using it!

Which just goes to show ~ you CAN teach an adult cat new tricks!

I'm liking the looks of this Beeg. Mom and Dad have been talking about getting us one too and I'm going to show them this picture. I will have to convince them that either they get multiple trees (after all, there are 10 of us and sharing is not amongst our virtues) or they'll have to make it clear that it's MY tree.

BeeGee, we suspect your human staff was expecting a different reaction from you. Well played! Keeping them off-balance is good.

I have a cat condo and just love mine too. My folks put it by a big sliding door and two, not one but two windows! I really enjoy that. You would think that the manufacture would put that in the instructions for your folks would have known, oh well.
Enjoy the view.

Hi BeeGee,
I can tell by your calm, cool style that we've got much in common. I'm a cat, so we've got that right there. My name is Katie and I too have my own blog. See it just keeps getting better and better. I do all my own blog writing and my girl, Glogirly, helps out with the photos. She and Gloman live with me in my downtown Minneapolis townhouse. I'd love for you to swing by sometime.

The key to cat tree usage is to have it by a window!
