One Lucky Guy

Dad said he was envious that I had my own personal trainer now (Kirby, that is), and he doesn't! Yes, Kirby's been running me around the house day and night...in fact, last night the folks couldn't get to sleep until the wee hours because Kirby and I were playing King of the Mountain on my over-the-bed perch. And I, of course, kept yammering, sounded like we were having our own kind of conversation, and the folks down below kept telling us to put a lid on it!

I'm loving this guy, but truth be told, I can hardly wait 'til he grows up! He's such a firecracker, gets into everything, and frankly it's a bit much for middle-aged me. But shoot, who am I to complain! I still do like spending time alone, though. Which is one reason I'm taking back control of my blog. It's still MY blog, it's me talking here, and I don't want that to change.

So, Happy New Year to you all, from me, BeeGee, and my little shadow, Kirby! May we all be happy and healthy in 2010 and beyond!

Happy Holidays From Us!

Kirby and I wish you all happy holidays and a cool (read: hot) new year. Hot, as in kick-ass! We're kickin' some butt around here, but in a good way!

Love and hugs, purrs and meows from both of us!

Am I Having Fun Yet?

...you bet I am! At this very moment, Mom is typing away, I'm on her left with my tail getting in the way of her fingers on the keyboard, Kirby is sitting on her right, watching, trying to figure out what mischief to get into next! Oh, now he's batting my tail, now he's walking on the keyboard, now he's up on the shelf overhead, now he's grabbed ahold of Mom's rubber stamp, down on the keyboard again, and I'm out of here!

I'm trying to remember if I was this much of a nuisance when I was a youngster. Mom can't tell me, I wasn't with her then, so I can only imagine that I was. But God, been there done that. I'm far more sophisticated now, these trifles don't amuse me like they do Kirby. Like the eraser he just knocked down off the shelf, onto the desk, onto the floor, and who knows when it'll be seen again! Yesterday he knocked the clock off the shelf, the battery went flying out, and hours later the cover to the battery case was found on the floor in the kitchen!

Such is the madness of kittendom! I am enjoying Kirby, though. He's a delight, no doubt about it!

More later. Ciao for now. Purrs and meows, Beeg

Life's Good!

Life is rather blissful these days! New cat? No problem! We're buds already, much to my own surprise. We each get as much love from the folks as we want or can handle, we're both sleeping on the folks' bed at night, and life is back to normal now, except I have a new friend.

Thanks Mom and Dad, I love you! And I love Kirby, too!

Ciao for now, catfans! Purrs & meows from Beeg.

Psssst...Don't Tell Anyone!

It's Friday evening, Kirby arrived on Wednesday, and we're already playing -- to some extent, anyway. I'm not hiding under the bed anymore, we're seeking each other out a little bit, the hissing is down to a dull roar. Maybe Mom was right...maybe this IS going to work out.

You gotta admit this guy is a looker. I could do worse for a little brother. I'm considering whether to make this a team blog -- the two of us -- but I think I like having this venue as my solo personal voice to the world. Think I'd better keep it my own thing. Having Kirby in my/our lives now is still part of the story of BeeGee.

So, lest you were worried about things here in Fortuna, I just wanted to let you know that it's looking better than I imagined it would! More updates as they're available.

Ciao, catfans!

I Am Not Amused

Well! Kirby's having a great time making himself at home -- Mom brought him home today and he's already comfortable. Me? I've spent the evening under the bed. I came out for a few minutes and threw a hissy fit -- quite literally -- then sulked back into my hiding place.

Give me a few days to absorb this ginormous change in my life...right now, though, I'm not having a good time.

Kirby Update

Mom hung out with Kirby again yesterday, and it WILL be him. Isn't he adorable? I hope we get along well together. I'm really looking forward to a buddy. This having to wait thing is just whetting my desire for a pal.

Right now, though, I'm bumping Mom on the arm because I'm hungry...so I've got to run.

Almost A Done Deal

The scuttlebutt around these parts is that there's a new kitty coming home soon. I think I'm excited about this. It'll be another few days, maybe a week, while the little guy recuperates from a bit of a cold.

I think his name is Kirby and he's a medium haired black and white kitty. I did hear Mom say today, though, that she thinks she might be allergic to him. She spent time with him today, the second time they hung out together, on her way back from Eureka and she said her eyes have been bothering her this evening. I'm really lucky, my hair is short and Mom's not allergic to me. Anyhow, since Mom works where Kirby is living at the moment, she'll check out the allergy situation again next week. If he doesn't work out, there's a guy there named Toby that Mom likes also, and he has short hair. She might even change Toby's name to Kirby!

So we'll all have to wait and see who my new BFF is going to be!

Catcha later, kitty fans! Hugs and meows from Beeg!

That Conversation, Part Deux

Can you dig my eyes in this photo? I don't know how it happened...but it's a good look, isn't it?

Oh heck, I'll come right out and say it...I'm lonely as all getout! I hate when the folks leave for their respective days out in the world and I'm left home alone. I feel mopey and sad.

So, they've been having That Conversation again, the one about whether or not to get another kitty, someone to keep me company. The more they talk about it, the more I'm starting to feel like it might not be such a bad idea, after all. Mom and I are tight, I don't think anything will change that. So maybe I needn't be afraid of our relationship changing -- or wait, is it Mom that's afraid of our closeness changing? I don't know, we're kind of co-dependent with each other so I'm not sure which one of us is more concerned about this.

On the other hand, more love in the house IS more love in the house. Another feline critter, a playmate, someone to show the ropes to, someone to help me get more exercise, someone to curl up with on cold rainy days...hmmm, this is sounding better all the time!

Now the question is, male or female? Shucks, it really doesn't matter to me. If they get a male, I'll take him under my wing. If they get a female, maybe she and I will end up being soulmates like Aja and Grayson were (Mom's two cats that she already had when she adopted me, both of whom passed on a few years ago, a year apart).

I'm going to keep an open attitude about this. I'll keep you posted!

Happy Turkey Day, catfans! Purrs and meows from blue-eyed BeeGee!

It's About Time!

I've been in this very spot for days, now, begging Mom to let me write a blog post. Now is as good a time as any, she says.

Mom came home for a catnap late morning today, so we hung out on the bed together for a couple hours, with the warm sun streaming in through the window. It was totally delightful.

Actually there's not too much to report. Life goes on, day by day, no huge changes for me, which I am eternally grateful for. I like to leave the changing to the folks. Just let me be me, here in our cozy home, I don't want to go anywhere, I just want to get fed on a regular schedule and sleep whenever I want, and give and get as much love as I can possibly handle. That's my kind of life...and I'm stickin' to it!

Hope all you catfans are well and happy!

Purrs and meows to you, Beeg

Feed Me You Fool!

When Mom caught me laying on the kitchen rug this morning waiting to be fed (like I don't have a bottomless bowl of kibble there to munch on whenever I want), she couldn't help thinking of this card she's had for eons!

I guess this is another case of life imitating art! Ha!

Licking My Chops

How Mom gets these photos of me with my mouth open, I'll never know. I have no idea what I was eating, but I was enjoying it.

Well, I've been lazy lately, mostly enjoying my days on my perch over the bed on the east side of the house, or on my cat tree on the west side of the house. Either way, I have my unique views of the world, and I like watching life go by. How many months have I been in the house now? I'm over trying to get out. This is my life...I'm reconciled with it.

We haven't watched much TV lately. After finishing up Season 4 of The Closer, we tried to get back into Midsomer Murders, but they got kind of boring. And nothing else has appealed. So the folks have been reading more. I can highly recommend Dexter, though, on Showtime, that's a killer show!

I'm going to try to write more often. Thinking about blog posts is something I could do while I'm relaxing. I'll think up something good and entertaining and be back atcha real soon!

Ciao for now!

Early Hallowe'en

I've got my costume all together and I'm ready to go Trick or Treating. This year I'm going as a Coon Skin Cap! Davey Crockett would be so proud of me!

A Test Of Wills

Here I am having a staring contest with my boa toy. Boa always wins. But I keep trying.

This is not a new photo, although a recent one. We're reporting from Mom's new computer now, we're wireless and all that jazz. Actually, at the present moment, I am on the desk under the lamp, to the left of Mom while she's writing my post. Dad just came in from a walk.

It's storming outside, getting ready to dump some rain tonight. I'm looking forward to a warm and cozy night!

At The Ranch

This is, like, a really old picture of me, actually about a year old...Mom got a new computer today and all my more recent photos are on it, but that computer's not hooked up to wireless yet so I'm posting tonight from Dad's (formerly Mom's older) computer.

Just wanted to report that, as always, there's change going on here at the ranch. Nothing stays the same for very long.

On the TV program front, we've got just one more episode of Season 4 of The Closer to watch...and that's it on that show until Season 5, which just finished up on TV, is available on DVD. Probably not for close to a year. Bummer. We'll have to check out some other show...or watch Season 5 episodes on Mom's new computer!

Hope you're all having a cool weekend -- and I don't mean weatherwise!

My 15 Minutes of Fame

After stretching yesterday morning, I went online and whoa!, I had 19 comments on my last blog post ~~ Mom says in one day her four blogs don't get that many comments, combined! I guess I'm famous for a few minutes...

Apparently the folks over at the Cat Blogosphere found me and posted a link to my blog, and now I have new friends and subscribers from around the globe. Thank You Very Much cyber kitties!

The photo above is old, but Mom liked it and I said it would be okay to post it. The framed photo in the background is a picture of my Aunt Vicky, who's a ukulele musician, among many other talents.

Anyhow, it's a new week, there's a new bamboo roll-up blind covering the office window, and now it's easier to see out of ~~ I don't have to snake my way behind the curtains that were there. Mom's also hoping the blind keeps the sun out of her eyes in the afternoon, when she's at the computer.

Old Cat, New Trick

Can you believe this?! The folks moved my gi-normous cat tree out of the livingroom and into the office, by a window (duh!), and now I'm using it. They pretty much convinced me that this was an entirely new piece of furniture! I'm liking this. Change is good.

The rest of the story is that Mom bought a smaller cat tree to put in the livingroom, because this one was way too big for the space, but, wonder of wonders, I wouldn't use that one, either. Actually, it was too small for my good-sized build. The only one of these cat tree-things big enough for me is the one I already have. Anyhow, Mom returned the second one, and I overheard her saying she'd probably just get a scratching post for me for the livingroom so I don't destroy the human furniture. Just as well...one cat tree is enough, thank you very much. Especially now that I'm using it!

Which just goes to show ~ you CAN teach an adult cat new tricks!

The One And Only

I'm relieved to report that Mom decided against adopting another kitty. She's actually had her eye on a six month old male, white with sporadic tabby markings...but she finally came to her senses and realized that since he's available from the Sequoia Humane Society, with time he WILL find a wonderful home. In the end, I think she knew that our relationship would change irrevocably with the addition of another housemate ~ and neither she nor I want that. I'll live with feeling lonely during the daytime when I'm on my own, just so long as I get to be Top Cat.

Besides, now that we've been in Fortuna for six months (can you believe it?), we've all settled into a wonderful rhythm. And why tinker with that when it's working for all of us?

So, it's all good.

Hot, Hot, Hot

I'm spending an inordinate amount of time these days cozying up to the window ledges with my nose plastered to the screens. It's almost as good as being outside. Our weather here is HOT, hot for us anyway, and we're all laying low.

Mom started a new job last week, as bookkeeper for the Sequoia Humane Society. I'm wondering how long it'll be before she brings home another kitty! I don't know whether to feel hopeful or betrayed...truthfully I am kind of lonely, but I sure like being the only feline in our digs. Our mobile's awfully small for another cat as well as me, and I know Dad's strong preference is for there to be just one of us cats here at a time. So I probably have nothing to be concerned about.

I'm just going to go about my business being the best cat in the universe!

They Did It!

Here I sit watching Our New Bed being installed last Tuesday evening! Yes, the folks finally did it, bought a queen-size bed for our collective comfort. Well, their's anyway. I'm still spending most of the night on my perch overlooking the bed, where I can keep my eye on midnight ramblers in the 'hood out the window.

Dad's a very happy camper with the new bed (memory foam, FYI), Mom's still getting used to it. Most likely they'll get a pillow top mattress pad, which will make both Mom and me very happy. Personally, I prefer the cushiness of the old bed, too, like Mom does.

Anyhow, happy sleeping, catfans! Purrs and meows from Beeg!

Living Royally

Remember that new chair I mentioned in a recent post...I've claimed it as my own! When Dad's not sitting in it, I am. Last night I even lounged on the extended leg rest while the folks watched TV.

The chair I had sat in for years -- that prior to me "belonged" to Aja and Grayson -- no longer did it for me, once we moved. Maybe it's because where it was in our new place didn't catch the morning sun. Maybe I was just tired of it. I don't know. But I think this new chair that Dad got was really for my benefit, darling selfish tabby that I am!

Last night we all started watching The Closer, beginning with Season 1. The folks like it a lot. Mom hadn't seen any of it before, Dad had only seen parts of Season 1. So we're in for a few weeks of good programming. For those not in the know, The Closer, starring Kyra Sedgwick, is about a police detective transferred from Atlanta to L.A., a sweet southern gal negotiating her way through the L.A. police bureaucracy and solving murders that no one else can. Highly recommended.

Back to my nap! Have a good Sunday. Purrs and meows from me!

Sleight of Hand

I slipped out this afternoon when Mom came in through the front door...but I didn't get very far. I jumped off the porch, sniffed around the grass for a moment, got on my back and wiggled around, and then before I knew it Mom was picking me up and carting me back inside the house! I tried to tell her I wouldn't run away, but she probably knows me better than I admit to knowing myself!

Oh well, can't blame a guy for trying, right!?

Taking Care of Mom

Mom's been sick for a few days, and I've been taking care of her. With Dad's help, of course. Mostly I've been hanging out with her wherever she is -- lying on the couch or in bed -- watching out for and fending off evil spirits. She's feeling a little better tonight, which is why I'm writing this post.

It was just Mom and me last weekend. She hadn't gotten sick yet, and we enjoyed our time together. Dad was away on a camping trip with friends. Truth is, I really missed him a lot and was so glad to see him again early Sunday afternoon.

Well, Mom says she's getting tired, so I'll sign off now.

Who'd a Thunk!

I'm an indoor cat, and indoor cats don't get fleas...right? WRONG!! Mom found two fleas on me yesterday, which explains why I've been itching and scratching so much lately. She hadn't been flea combing me regularly because we all thought it would be impossible for me to catch a flea or two without going outside. But there they were, those darn little buggers.

Dad thinks he likely brought them in the house on his work clothes, seeing that he works "in the bush" around the property here as Assistant Manager of our mobile home park.

Oh well, the fleas are gone now and Mom dosed me up with Advantage so I'm good for at least another month. That and my twice daily antihistamines and I'll be good as new in a day or two!

Hope the warm weather critters don't bother you guys. Have a good one.

Mom's Little Helper

My most favorite thing to get involved in is helping Mom change the sheets. I always try to get myself tucked inside so Mom won't be able to find me. But darn, she always does, and then she scoots me out so I don't get trapped under the covers.

I "met" my new neighbor -- that good lookin' orange tabby cat. He was outside again yesterday and we talked to each other through the office window. His name is Tigger, and he's supposed to be an inside cat, too. But he doesn't run away when he gets out. Guess I should find out his secret to staying around, although I'm not sure my folks will let me out again anyway, so it's probably a moot point!

Have a good week, catfans! Ciao meow!

Space Case

I just took a look at my blog and realized that Mom uploaded the last photo twice -- the other day and a few posts ago! What a space case she is! But I love her dearly!

Weekly Check In

I'd like to be posting more often than weekly, but Mom's been awfully busy and obviously my blog just isn't all that important to her right now! That's right, I'm going to blame it all on her!

My Aunt Vicky and Uncle Pat came for a visit last Saturday, and what did I do? -- I hid under the bed! "Under The Bed" is my security blanket, of sorts. Nobody bothers me there, and that's just how I like it.

Let's see...the TV report. We finished watching Six Feet Under. We enjoyed it immensely. Great characters, great story line. Mom said we'd collapsed five years into three weeks, which is how long it took us to watch all five seasons. Now Mom's in withdrawal from it. We haven't glommed onto anything else meaty to watch yet. Which I guess is why she has time to write this post for me tonight!

Other than that, it's sleep-sleep-sleep for me, relax, stretch, graze at the food bowl, more sleep. Ahhhh, what a life!

Later babies! Ciao meow!

Feelin' Groovey

I was going to label this post "Feelin' Guilty," but Mom just convinced me that I don't need to be guilty for writing so seldom these days. It's summertime, and everybody's on holiday. Me too!

But right now I'm sitting here with Mom as she works on the computer, and she said I could check in and say hi. So, Hi!

My allergic dermatitis has really been acting up, as it usually does during the warm months -- although you could hardly call the weather here warm...I spend every day on the down duvet on the bed, trying to stay cozy during this particularly damp and gloomy summer we're having. Oh well, what's a cat to do!

Back to my delicate condition, Mom remembered the other day that the vet told her she could give me a certain kind of antihistamine twice a day, which really helps with the itchy skin. So things are a little better right now since I'm back on my "medication." What I take is called Chlor tabs, it's chlorpheniramine, as opposed to the benedryl type of antihistamines. Mom gives me a 4 mg tab twice a day, and taking the pills doesn't even bother me that much. What a good patient I am! Whatever works, I say.

Well, catch y'all later...ciao meow!

My & My Bunny

This is me with Mom's sleeping bunny. Bunny makes her shoulders feel more relaxed when she sleeps on her side. Bunny is also my favorite soft thing to knead my little paws on. I like that Mom and I both get comfort from this furry stuffed creature.

So, I'm thinking that my vibing has worked, because that orange kitty hasn't been around again. I'm keeping my toes crossed...

That's it for now, just a short post to say Hi!

Swooning

I had a visitor outside today -- I could only see him through the window -- a beautiful, really friendly orange tabby cat. He came right up to the backdoor, he let both Mom and Dad pet him. And when Mom came home for a few minutes midday, he was under Dad's truck.

Dad thinks he's probably the new neighbors' cat. I already know what Mom's thinking, though ~ if he hangs around and turns out not to have a home, she'll want to adopt him! Geez, I've got to nip this in the bud before it gets off the ground.

This is MY house, my turf. This house is too small for more than one feline, and I'm the one! I'll just vibe that kitty back to wherever he came from!

That's all for now...ciao meow!

What's New?

Busy week...I've been shepherding Mom through the Facebook setup process. Why she thinks I know anything about this, beats me. She's pretty well got it, but I've spent alot of time here on the desk while she fiddles around on the computer. Mom says if you want to check her out there, follow this link.

Well, we finished off with Inspector Lynley, now we're watching Six Feet Under. Mom watched this religiously when it was first on HBO but Dad's never seen it before. We're into Season 2 now.

The folks are talking about getting a bigger bed, like that's going to make a difference where I'm concerned! I think it's more like, they'd really like to sleep together again, regardless of what I do, and the double bed that worked for them when they were each solo isn't really big enough for them to sleep comfortably together. Meanwhile, though, things are as they have been, and I've been getting in a lot of face time with Mom, me sleeping on her chest with my face not far from hers!

Talk soon, catfans! Ciao meow!

Laid Low Last Night

Because I was under the bed most of last night -- due to the frightening fireworks outside -- this photo is from another recent time. But last night, I was into deep, dark territory under the bed, in fact, Dad couldn't find me at all and imagined that I had vanished into thin air!

I couldn't be coaxed out for all the tea in China. After things quieted down outside, though, I crept out and slept with Mom on the couch. The cool thing is that the bedroom door was open all night but I didn't bother Dad once!

Now I'm sitting on the windowsill in the office and Mom's typing while I'm dictating this post.

I've lost count, now, on how long I've been in the house -- since the harness fiasco. Who cares, anyway? I'm happy as a clam.

So, another lazy Sunday for me. Although I expect Mom will be at the studio. She's rarely lazy, got to hand it to her. As long as she doesn't expect me to pull any weight, I'm okay!

Have a good one, cat fans...ciao meow!

I admit I've not been a very good correspondent of late. Most days I'm right here, on the bed, sunbathing. Taking a housecat's vacation. Enjoying life to the fullest. Not worrying about a thing. Content as can be.

No Significant Changes

The nighttime thing hasn't changed appreciably. Wednesday night we all slept together, with difficulty. Thursday night Mom slept on the couch. Last night we all tried it again together, but Mom went out to the livingroom at about 2:30 a.m. so Dad could get some sleep (with me sequestered in the livingroom, of course). So nothing's changed.

Oh well, can't blame a guy for trying, right? At least we're all happy and we love each other and nobody's blaming anybody else for this state of affairs.

Hope you're all having a restful weekend! Ciao meow!

The Jig Is Up

I was put on notice today that I had better get my nighttime act together, because Mom's moving back into bed with Dad. Enough with the on-the-couch-every-night thing, her back has begun to bother her and she needs her bed. And Dad misses her anyhow.

So I've got to mind my manners and be good. Let's see if I can do that. The perch is a good thing and has made the overall situation better. The problem is that I have a bad habit of not dismounting the thing the way I get up onto it, rather I take a flying leap onto Mom or Dad's stomach in the middle of the night and then make a beeline for the livingroom.

Something's got to change, and tonight's the night. I'll keep you posted!

Late Sunday Evening

It's late Sunday evening and I'm hanging out in the office while Mom does stuff on the computer. She's uninstalling some unwanted programs and cleaning up her hard drive. It's a good opportunity for me to be with her and be still and mellow. I know she likes that.

I spent most of today sunbathing on the bed, sprawled out, sleeping contentedly. We watched more of Inspector Lynley tonight -- Dad was able to get Season 4 yesterday.

I hope we go to sleep soon because I need my beauty rest. Have a good night!

Caught In The Act

Here I am trying to get my licks in (literally!) before being shooed off the table. I'm allowed to be up on the kitchen table, but I'm not encouraged to go for the food there. Butter, however, is simply irresistable and I couldn't help myself.

Been kind of slow and quiet around the ranch lately. We had to take forced break from the Inspector Lynley series because Season 4 wasn't available where the folks rent DVDs -- so tonight we're going to start in with Inspector Lewellyn. Meanwhile, we watched two recent movies this week, Gran Torino and Revolutionary Road. Really, it doesn't matter to me what we watch and I don't pay attention to any of that anyway. What's important to me is that the family is all together. I've always said, The family that plays together stays together.

Have a good weekend, hope your weather is better than ours has been here!

The Good & The Bad, Part 2

Here's me relaxing with Dad the other evening. It's so nice when I can kick back and take it easy. That's the good part.

The not so good part is that I have an allergy problem and oftentimes I spend seemingly hours on end preening myself. Fortunately I'm not like some other kitties who've dehaired themselves with scratching and biting. But it's still a problem that keeps me awake during the night sometimes.

The problem is about protein synthesis, and Mom has to get really expensive food for me that has hydrolyzed protein in it. That means the protein molecules are broken down into such small pieces that they can be utilized by my delicate system. The expensive food doesn't resolve the problem for me, but it makes the situation better than it would be if I ate other stuff, even other good catfood.

I've always been like this. I know it bothers Mom and Dad, because they don't like to see me uncomfortable in my own skin. Much of the time I'm not bothered by itching during the day -- of course it's at night when we're all trying to get a good night's sleep that I'm often kept awake.

In the past the allergy was aggravated by the occasional flea bite...but these days, being indoors only, I never get flea bites anymore. Although lately I'm scratching as though I do. Humm, I'm wondering whether we have a dust mite problem here that may be affecting me? I'll ask Mom right now to discuss the matter with Dad. Although I don't know if there's anything to be done about that. The world has become an extremely dusty place.

Hope you're all having a good day lazing about! Ciao meow!

What A Life

I've gotten so lazy, napping and hiding so much that I hardly have time to write blog posts these days! What's a cat to do?

Except tonight, while Mom and Dad were watching a cool ABBA documentary DVD that Mom just got from Amazon.com, the music kept me flying around the house. Now I'm tuckered out.

Tomorrow's schedule? Recover from being the Dancin' King tonight!

See you soon...ciao meow!

The Good & The Bad

The perch is in...yay! That's the good news. I do rather enjoy laying on it and looking out the window, and can't wait to do more. I even took to it really quickly, seeing as it was only installed yesterday, and this photo is from last night.

The bad news? I'm still active as all get-out at night. We all went to bed together last night, but Dad had to go out to the couch at around 2:30 because I wouldn't sit still. So Mom had the bed for a change. But we're back to the old routine again tonight.

Darn, I'll have to get my window watching done during the day. I do love the perch, though. Thanks Mom and Dad for all your effort. It wasn't wasted on me, really!

I guess it's not in my constitution these days to settle down at night. If you can do it, you're a better cat than I am.

Ciao meow for now!

Intent

I was playing with the camera strap when Mom shot this photo the other night. You can see how intent I am on grabbing the thing. My mantra is: Never take your eye of a moving object.

Still no window perch, but the folks have been discussing the best way to install it. It's not as easy as it seems, all considerations taken into account. Oh well, it'll happen when it does. Whatever!

I think perhaps that Feliway gizmo is working, because I'm far less antsy than when I first got here. Full moons hardly even faze me anymore. Maybe I'm just getting older!

Have a good weekend, catfans. Ciao meow!

International Man of Mystery

I have a global following, I'm a guy, and I've come to love British mystery shows on DVD. That makes me an international man of mystery!

Dad's been into these programs for years, and he's been turning Mom and me onto them. We watch 'em instead of regular TV most nights -- especially during the summer when the only stuff on TV is reruns and very bad reality shows.

Speaking of which, who's reality are they talking about, anyway? I'm quite sure my folks don't know anybody who's reality is anything like what gets shown on American TV. I hope you catfans in other parts of the world get better programming than we do here!

The folks are both pooped, so we're having an early night tonight. Soon as Mom finishes this post, she and I are going to get into bed (couch), and she's going to read her novel, and I'm going to lay on her stomach!

Ciao meow!

House Hunting

There's not much in the way of wild game in the house, but here I am stalking my catnip toy! And since I do this at nighttime, I have on my xray goggles so I can see in the dark. Mom really appreciates my doing this in the middle of the night -- not!

You've heard of coneheads -- well here I am, a conebutt! Thought you'd get a kick out of this picture.

Enjoy! Ciao meow!

Lazy Sunday

We're all just laying around the house this morning, and it's about 11:00. Not late by some standards, but late for my family, especially Mom, who usually likes to get going by about 8:00.

I think I'm just going to catch up on my napping today. I'm not needed elsewhere and I have nothing important to do. Maybe I'll help the folks with the L.A. Times crossword puzzle later. That one's their favorite.

For now, though -- yawn! -- ciao meow!
